Planning Ahead and Delivering When It Matters Most
In equipment finance, month-end and quarter-end deadlines bring a significant increase in activity across the industry. While it’s a familiar part of the business, the resulting volume creates challenges for everyone involved.
During an interview with Solifi at the 2026 ELFA Annual Convention, JDR Solutions CEO Joey Enevoldsen was asked a simple question: If you could eliminate one headache in equipment finance, what would it be?
His answer was the month-end crunch.
As a third-party service provider, JDR Solutions processes new business throughout the month. However, month-end volume is consistently higher, creating additional demands on our portfolio management team and the clients we support.
Joey even suggested that perhaps AI will help solve this challenge someday. Until then, it’s a reality that equipment finance companies and their service partners continue to navigate.
Preparing for the Month-End Rush
By the time transactions reach JDR’s portfolio management team, they have already moved through several stages of the process, including credit, funding, and our clients’ internal operations. The month-end pressure is felt throughout the process, and we certainly aren’t the only ones working longer hours to get everything completed.
At JDR, managing month-end volume takes planning and collaboration. Our portfolio management team works closely with clients, including pre-month-end calls to anticipate incoming volume and prepare the resources needed to handle it. We also plan staffing carefully, limiting scheduled time off during these critical periods to ensure adequate coverage.
When the volume increases, our team works together with our clients to get the business processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. We understand how important it is to keep transactions moving and ensure our clients can meet their own month-end commitments.
A Challenge the Industry Continues to Navigate
Month-end and quarter-end volume may be difficult to eliminate entirely, but it’s a familiar challenge across equipment finance.
For JDR Solutions, being a dependable service partner means understanding these demands, planning ahead, and having the experience and resources to deliver when clients need us most.
